The Imota Development Association, has, on behalf of the entire people of lmota, congratulated the former Deputy Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Dr Metilelu Olumide Olusola, on his appointment as a member of the Lagos State Electoral Commission (LASIEC).
Dr Metilelu’s appointment alongside the LASIEC Chairman and other members, was announced through a statement on Thursday.
The association, in a statement released today and signed by its General Secretary, Mrs Abiola Aberuagba, said that the appointment of its Treasurer is a testament to his wealth of experience and selfless service to the community and the state at large.
“On behalf of the entire community of Imota, I have a great pleasure to convey our warmest congratulations and best wishes to Dr Metilelu Olumide Olusola, Associate Professor, Department of Hospitality Management Technology, Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), former Acting Rector, two term Deputy Rector, immediate past Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) of LASUSTECH and presently the Treasurer of the Imota Ayayo Development Association, on his recent appointment as a member of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) by Mr Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

While stating that Dr Metilelu’s appointment is cheery news to the entire Imota residents, the group also expressed its happiness that one of his sons has been selected for such an important appointment.

lt would be recalled that Dr. Metilelu, as a LASIEC member, was the Returning Officer for the Ikorodu Local Government in the last Local Government elections.
